Aspartame is an artificial sweetener, approx. 200 times sweeter than saccharose, used as sugar substitute.

Description

Aspartame is a white, odorless, crystalline powder or granule used as a sweetener where a reduced energy intake is needed, as in juice-based drinks, gum, solid dietary supplements, milk preparations, candy and biscuits.

Slightly soluble in water and ethanol.

Limited use.

Complies with Regulation 231/2012 / EC, FCC and EP.

For the manufacture of food products, excluding all retail.
